Abu Dhabi, 12 Octo 2026 –  Zodia Custody, the institution-first crypto asset platform, today announced that the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) ADGM, the international financial centre of Abu Dhabi the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, has approved the Variation of Permission for its regional subsidiary, Tungsten Custody Solutions Limited, to include the custody of digital securities within its license. Initially focusing on the growing trend towards tokenised money markets, the expanded license allows Zodia a segue into supporting the growth of the traditional securities markets moving onchain.

Phil Langton, SEO of Tungsten Custody Solutions, commented “This is a fantastic opportunity for the franchise to support the growing demand for tokenised funds in the region. We are seeing increased interest in bringing more of the traditional equities and fixed income assets onchain and with tokenised RWA growth expected to reach $16T by 2030, we believe we are well positioned to support the custody and settlement of digital and traditional assets with our partners in the region.”

Richard Clark, CEO of Zodia Custody, said: “Treasury teams at financial institutions are already holding tokenised funds alongside stablecoins for cash management and collateral, and they need a custodian that safeguards those holdings to the standard their regulators, clients and boards expect. This approval means we can offer bank-grade custody for tokenised securities as well as tokenised commodities in ADGM, and we expect demand for both to grow across the region.”

Tokenised equities are forecast to reach $750 billion by the end of 2028, and as banks and asset managers bring more listed shares and other traditional securities onchain, they will need a regulated custodian authorised to hold them. This approval prepares Zodia Custody to meet that demand, widening the range of assets it can hold for clients in ADGM and adding to the permissions and registrations that Zodia Custody entities hold across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
